“I hired Alexis in January of 2017 to decorate our family room, our formal living room, and dining room. It was a big job (we had moved in earlier that Fall and these rooms were almost completely bare!) I interviewed at least three designers before meeting with Alexis, and didn’t feel like any of them understood my hopes for the spaces or my aesthetic like she did. I had been following her designs via Instagram for a long time and loved her perspective. Alexis really took the time to listen to my preferences, my vision, and my hopes for the rooms she’d be decorating, and when I received the mood boards for the spaces (quite quickly, I might add), it showed. I remember giggling from with excitement. It was exactly what I’d hoped for.
The road to getting the rooms sourced was long, but worth it. The only downside to sourcing from big names is the long lead times. But my husband and I only wanted to do this on a large scale once, so we waited for all the pieces we loved (sometimes for months!). Alexis was really great about working around these long lead times though it often meant we had to pause working for a while. I wanted to be very involved in the process and I’m thankful that Alexis kept me on mission. When she showed me products, she didn’t overwhelm me with choices and she thoroughly explained why the pieces would work in the space and the kind of impression it would make on the room. If I began to introduce ideas in a new direction, she brought me back to the original plans for the spaces and I’m really thankful she did, because they look so cohesive! I absolutely love the way these spaces came together.
All in all, working with Alexis was a great experience. She was professional, communicative, patient, prompt, and always encouraging. It also helps that she’s an absolute joy to be around! Her eye is worth every penny and her work speaks for itself. Come on over if you want the proof!”
