I'm going to preface this post by saying today I turned 30. I say that without an exclamation point because to be honest, I've been dreading this day all year long. I'm never one to freak out about getting older but for some reason, this year feels differently. Thiiiiiirty just seems...well, old. I think I'm going to read that in about 20 years and laugh at myself for saying it (or even worse, writing it because then you can't take it back!) So rather than wallowing in my own self pity, I decided to do something to cheer me up. That usually involves giving something to someone else. Nothing makes me happier, really!

We've been using Mustela products ever since Luella was a newborn. Since having Felix, we've only grown to love them more. It's actually the only brand of skincare we're able to use on both kids and we've tried several! From "all natural" to inexpensive to super expensive, nothing has even come close to our favorite line of products for babes.

Mustela recently sent us a bundle of products, which included familiar ones we swear by and others we were eager to try out. I can't say enough great things about all of it. Luella was super excited about the Musti Eau de Soin Spray. "Mommy! I have my own perfume just like youuuu," were her exact words. I've used the Hydra-stick a time or two as my own lip balm and plan to use it on all of us throughout the winter months. I've even used the Facial Cleansing Cloths to take off my makeup at night. I've been struggling with hormonal, dry skin since my pregnancy with Felix and I love that these cloths remove my makeup but leave my skin feeling moisturized.

Mustela and I have teamed up for a fun giveaway for those who follow along with me on Instagram. To enter the chance to win a bundle of their products valued at $75 all you have to do is follow @Mustelausa and leave a comment on my Instagram giveaway post. You can also tag friends in separate comments for additional entries. More entries gives you a greater chance of winning! The giveaway will run all weekend long and I'll choose a winner at random on Monday Nov 21, and announce it on Instagram so be on the lookout!

Also, I just wanted to say even though this post is in partnership with Mustela, it's important to me you know how much my family loves their products. We stand by this brand and have used their lotions and cleansing wash as part of our daily routine for years.

I love being a new mom (again) but one thing I've dreaded has been the lack of style choices for someone who breastfeeds, like myself. During my last trimester of pregnancy I would scroll through my favorite online shops and find great, stylish pieces I was excited to wear once I was sans bump only to realize they weren't functional at all. After having Luella, I just borrowed all of my husband's old, oversized t-shirts or button down dress shirts. While they served their purpose, they didn't necessarily make me feel feminine. I wanted to be more style conscious after having Felix. I really think when I feel good about what I'm wearing it sets the tone for the rest of my day (minus the toddler meltdowns, because those are unpredictable and boy can they change the tone in an instant). To be honest, wearing something beautiful makes me feel better about myself. With that in mind, I've been on the hunt for quality, postpartum-body flattering clothing that's most importantly, nursing-friendly.

When I came across the Field Dress from Seek Collective I knew I had to have it in my wardrobe. The dove gray and white dress is right in my neutral colorway comfort-zone and I'm obsessed with the hand-block printed pattern. There's something really fascinating to me about block printing textiles by hand and the fact that no two pieces are the same. You can see and read more about this incredible, age-old process here.

What's even more impressive about the brand is they've partnered with Women's Handicraft Enterprise, a training center that provides work for women in the rural, tribal, and urban slums of the local area in India where Seek Collective pieces are made. All of the quilt blankets are designed and stitched by this group of women, empowering them by giving them an alternative way to make a living. How wonderful is that?

Seek Collective has generously offered a 20% discount on all non-sale pieces for those who follow along with me here and Instagram. All you have to do is sign up for their newsletter and use code 'SEEKxALEXIS' at checkout. This offer will be vaild for one week only so try to get in on the deal if you can.

You guys, when my dress arrived and I saw it in person I literally had to catch my breath for a second. It's absolutely stunning. You can just tell the love and craftsmanship that went into making it is something so special. Pieces like this feel differently than the ordinary. I know you'll love yours as much as I love mine.

The post is in partnership with Seek Collective. A brand I admire for their beautiful garments and accessories, as well as their ethical practices.
